The Sisterhood of Temple Ner Ami comes together in friendship for programs that benefit the Temple, family, and Jewish community. We support social activities, Tikkun Olam, and the study of Torah to enrich our lives as individuals. We seek to fulfill our potential as Jewish women and unite with all Jewish women in bonds of friendship and support to provide outreach opportunities for all Jewish women in Ventura County.

The Sisterhood began in 1998 with Jean Shev acting as founding President and Judy Foxman acting as Vice President. The Sisterhood continues its journey today with over fifty members under the direction of Bobbe Jacobs. We continue to strive to be an inclusive community for Jewish women. We celebrate our individuality and recognize a diversity of needs. We encourage personal and collective growth in mind, body, spirit, and religious education. We seek to provide a friendly place to call home and value each person’s ideas and creativity.
